HTML is a language specially used to create webpages. These webpages then can be viewed by anyone whose computer, mobile or other devices are connected to the internet. It is very easy to learn, with the basic being accessible to most people in one sitting and quite powerful in what it allows you to create. According to the growth of the audience in web world, W3C is constantly undergoing revision and evolution to meet demands.
The full form of HTML is HyperText Markup Language.
- HyperText is the method with which you move around on the web - by clicking on special text called hyperlinks which bring you to the next page.
- Markup is what HTML tags do to the text inside them. They mark it as a certain type of text.
- HTML is a language. It is code word and syntax.
HTML has its different types of short codes that the author use in any text editor which are called tags. The text then saved as a html file, and viewed through a browser like google chrome and mozilla firefox. The browser reads the file and displays the content inside that file according to the markuped tags written by the author.
